Feather Beds And Tent Sites All On Site

With nearly the entire festival located at South Main in Buena Vista you have multiple options for on-site accommodations. Grab a room at the Surf Hotel or Surf Chateau or reserve one of our camping spaces.

2019 On-Site Camping

Tent and RV sites are just a short walk to the Rapids and Grass Beer Festival grounds and the banks of the Arkansas River. This will be THE place you want to camp to maximize your weekend at the Rapids and Grass beer festival due to proximity to the venues and the community of fellow beer and bluegrass lovers that you’ll be joined by in the camping area. There will be limited spots available so reserve early.

Tent Camping

Our new camping area is located on the town soccer field, a quick walk down the river path from the festival venue. We offer standard sites and VIP riverside sites. Riverside sites are extremely limited so reserve early. Campsites are walk-in tent sites with parking adjacent to the field. ONE car per ticket. Enjoy access to plumbed bathrooms as well as porta potties, a potable water source, and easy access to the Arkansas River. Campsites are first-come, first-served.

VIP Riversite Tent Camping - SOLD OUT
For the first time, we are offering riverside tent camping! These spaces are extremely limited. Set up camp along the Arkansas River with gorgeous views to Midland Hill and the Collegiate Peaks to the West. Just a quick walk down the river trail gets you to the Rapids & Grass Beer Festival venue. Enjoy quick access to potable water at the River Park as well as plumbed bathrooms. VIP Riverside Tent Camping will have private porta potties as well as trash removal service. Picnic tables are available below the VIP Riverside campsites. VIP Riverside Tent Camping includes space for ONE car. Additional parking is available in the dirt lot adjacent to the camping area.

RV Camping

We have two RV options for Rapids and Grass Beer Fest this year. Standard RV camping and VIP Riverside RV Camping. Riverside sites are extremely limited so reserve early. All RV sites will be able to accomodate a 20’ x 50’ rig. No hookups will be provided. Campsites are first-come, first-served.

VIP Riverside RV Camping - SOLD OUT
Spend your weekend nestled amongst pinyon pines along the Arkansas River with gorgeous views to the Collegiate Peaks, all in the comfort of your RV. Just a quick walk down the river trail gets you to the Rapids & Grass Beer Festival venue. Spaces are large enough to fit a 20'x50' RV or camper, no hookups on site. VIP Riverside spaces are limited.

Camping Rules & Regulations

The Festival Camping Area is an open campus, but you are encouraged to park your car or RV for the weekend and enjoy being a pedestrian in Buena Vista.

Opens: 10 a.m. on Friday, June 28th

Closes: 12 p.m. on Monday, July 1st

Quiet Hours are 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Please respect your neighbors!

Porta potties and trash/recycle dumpsters will be available for use in the camping area. Please leave your campsite as clean as possible when you leave!

**Bring your own drinking water for the weekend. 

No pets allowed on the festival grounds or in the camping area. We love animals, but please leave them at home. 

No glass allowed in the camping area.

No alcohol is allowed on town property. Please keep public drinking to a minimum on the soccer field!

No charcoal grills or open fires are allowed in the camping area.

Single day camping passes are not available. You may camp just one day, however the cost will be for the entire weekend. 


2019 Camping Check-In

There will be a camping check-in table located by the Community Center at the intersection of Main Street and South Main. Please stop by and see Holly before heading to the camping areas!

Check-in Hours:

Friday, June 28th: 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 29th: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

If you need assistance while already in the camping areas, please seek out one of our volunteers. They will be wearing Burgundy t-shirts with “VOLUNTEER” on the back.
